Jin Talog are a wonderful nano distillery based Talog, West Wales. Their gin is handmade on their farm and we have to say it’s truly delicious!

The Brief

To design a complete branding package for the new nano-distillery Jin Talog.

We worked with David and Anthony to create a clean, modern brand for Jin Talog that reflected the smooth, paired back taste of their gin. It was important to maintain a sense of place and the full page imagery along with key phrases help to tell the Jin Talog story. Incorporating the Welsh language was essential and we have added a complete translation system that allows the shop and the website to be easily updated in both languages.

The branding is based around a single font with strong symmetry and linear elements. We wanted to ensure that customers could read the important information on the bottle behind a bar with more detail appearing as you held the bottle closer. The use of negative space is crucial in this design and really helps to give it a clean, uncluttered, expensive feel.

The branding was carried through from the website to the bottle, flyers and signage so that the brand sits cohesively in the real and the digital world.
